This easy peanut butter Greek yogurt is a quick and healthy breakfast or nourishing snack. High in protein and packed with healthy fats, it will keep you satisfied for hours. Ready in 1 minute!
This recipe is perfect for when you are super busy and don't want to spend time in the kitchen. Just like the chocolate yogurt I posted recently, Greek yogurt with peanut butter is a 2 ingredient power bowl. It is delicious and it is ready in a flash.
I have a lot of great peanut butter recipes on my website, but this is one of my secret favourites.

Why This Recipe Works
#1 Apart from being incredibly easy, quick and filling, peanut butter yogurt is a recipe for all seasons. It is refreshing in summer due to the Greek yogurt but provides that comforting richness we crave when the weather is cold.
#2 The creamy texture combined with the nutty flavor is a dream team. This dish tastes exquisite solo but can be dressed up with any toppings of your choice. I am listing my favourite add-ins further down in the post.
#3 This is a filling and naturally keto-friendly breakfast or snack with plenty of health benefits. Greek yogurt is an excellent source of protein - a serving of this recipe contains over 20 grams. Meanwhile, peanut butter is high in heart-healthy fats. Read more about the health benefits of peanut butter here.
Ingredients
Here are the ingredients I used:
Peanut Butter - This can be smooth or crunchy. Choose a brand that is soft and runny so it is easy to stir into the yogurt. I like the smooth peanut butter by Pip & Nut. It is almost pourable.
Greek Yogurt - I recommend using Greek yogurt because it contains twice as much protein and half the carbs and sugar as regular yogurt. Skyr is a good alternative. Of course, regular plain yogurt will also work.
Vanilla Extract - This enhances the flavor of the peanut butter and adds a touch of warmth and sweetness. It is optional but recommended.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
Instructions
As I mentioned above, peanut butter Greek yogurt is a very simple recipe. Here are the steps, illustrated with images:
Step 1: Put the yogurt and peanut butter in a small bowl.
Step 2: Stir with a spoon until the ingredients are well-combined.
Step 3: Now, add the vanilla extract and stir again. Enjoy as is, drizzle with peanut butter and add a dusting of cinnamon or serve with toppings of your choice.
Expert Tips
Thin it out. Depending on the consistency of your peanut butter, the yogurt mixture may be quite firm. For a thinner and creamier texture, loosen it with a splash of milk. I like almond milk. 1-2 tablespoons should be sufficient.
Make it sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. However, feel free to add honey or maple syrup to taste. To keep it keto-friendly, add a teaspoon of allulose or powdered sweetener of your choice.
The more sweetness you add to the recipe, the more it will qualify as a healthy dessert. In fact, if you add enough sweetness peanut butter yogurt tastes like a light version of this keto peanut butter mousse.
Toppings
I have enjoyed this dish countless times over the years. Here are tried and tested toppings that my whole family likes:
- Banana slices
- Cinnamon
- Chocolate chips
- Apple slices or sliced pear
- Blueberries, raspberries or strawberries - fresh or frozen
- Keto granola
- Peanut butter granola
- Nuts (especially walnuts, pecans or hazelnuts) and seeds. Toast them in a dry pan on the stove over low heat until they are lightly browned.
- Desiccated coconut or coconut flakes
Recipe FAQs
Of course. To make the recipe vegan, use non-dairy yogurt. Almond yogurt has the highest protein levels out of all non-dairy yogurts.
Yes. The yogurt bowl tastes just as good with almond butter.
I don't recommend it. Peanut butter powder is fat-reduced, which changes the taste and texture of the recipe.
Yes, you can! Add your sweetener of choice to turn this into a sugar free frozen yogurt dessert. Then, freeze the peanut butter yogurt in popsicle moulds. Or, freeze in an ice cube tray. When you are ready to serve, blend the cubes in a high-speed blender to an ice cream consistency.
Easy. Add ยฝ cup almond milk to the recipe as well as frozen bananas or frozen berries. Blend until smooth for a delicious Greek yogurt peanut butter smoothie.
Meal Prep And Storage
Another benefit of this recipe is that is perfect for meal prep. Sometimes, I use a 500-gram pot of Greek yogurt and make peanut butter yogurt for the week.
I simply store it in an airtight container in the fridge and add different toppings to my portion each day right before serving. You can even fill it into single-serve containers so everything is ready.
This dish stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Hi Charlie, the Waitrose Cook's Ingredients vanilla extract is a good choice. Or any other vanilla extract that is suspended in ethanol/alcohol.

Tried this just now. I'm type 1 diabetic. I don't like pip and nut so I used Waitrose whole nut crunchy peanut butter which is quite thick, just stirred and it combined utterly delicious. Will try it with apple for breakfast. Brilliant idea. I didn't add vanilla extract but I like it just wanted peanut butter. Really good!
