  • 1 egg
  • piece of cardboard
  • 2 rubber bands


  • Cut the carton into a rectangle and fold in half. Check the size - it should cover the sides of the egg
  • Make a hard boiled egg. I cooked mine for 9 minutes.
  • Peel your egg while it is still hot and place it in the folded carton
  • Place a chopstick or a skewer on the middle of the egg and press down
  • Secure the ends with rubber bands
  • Leave to cool
  • After ca 10 minutes remove the egg and cut in half. Voila!
